Michael Cohen, attorney of President Trump, faced raids at
his home, office and the hotel room, by FBI. The Investigation is on to find
out wire fraud, bank fraud, campaign finance violations. The seized items are emails, business records, and
documents related to several topics, including the payment made to the star
Stormy Daniels.
Mr. Cohen’s lawyer, Stephen Ryan, confirmed the raids saying
“Today, the US attorney’s office for the Souther District of New York executed
a series of search warrants and seized the privileged communications between my
client, Michael Cohen, and his clients.” He lashed out several hours after
authorities began the investigation and accused his own Justice Department of
perpetrating a “witch hunt”, claiming that the FBI “broke in to” Mr. Cohen’s
office, despite having a warrant to enter.
Trump lambasted the attorney general, Jeff Sessions, for
recusing himself in the Russia investigation, and continued to criticize the
FBI for not investigating Hillary Clinton, “where there are crimes.”
