Solar Power Plant Business

New-Japan, India to cooperate in renewable energy, Hydrogen Technologies -1.6MW 'Self-consumption-type' Mega Solar Plant Combined With Wind Farm.
DIC Corporation , chemical manufacturer, started in 1908, changed its name from Dainippon Ink and Chemicals Inc to DIC Corp in 2008.
Among its plants at nine locations in Japan, organic paint and other products are manufactured at Kashima Plant in Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture

A large solar power plant , capable of producing 1.6 MW was completed at Kashima Plant on 26.01.2018.
DIC built this plant  with the aim of positioning it as part of the DIC Group's activities to stop global warming . The DIC Group advocates the goal to "cut the absolute amount of greenhouse gas emissions by 1% every year and achieve a 7% reduction by 2020."
The group has also proactively approached lowering carbon in its energy consumption along with energy conservation activities at plants. Having adopted two 2.3MW-output wind power generators and a 4MW-output cogeneration-type biomass boiler power generator at Kashima Plant in 2007, DIC has used all generated power within the plant.

Since January this year, when the mega-solar plant at Kashima Plant and the biomass boiler at Hokuriku Plant started operation, the ratio of renewable energy may increase from the previous 10% to 13%" .

The newly adopted renewable energy facilities will reportedly bring about a 1.3% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions,  for the entire DIC Group in Japan.
When designing and constructing the mega-solar plant, DIC valued salt-resistant, highly durable systems more than anything else because the location was close to the sea.
As a location to set up the solar system, DIC chose a gently sloping southern site that already had a wind farm facility. To firmly hold mounting systems and boost the installation efficiency by narrowing the space between arrays Ryoden adopted screw piles.
