Indian Railways increases seats by 2,20,000; to run another 24 special trains


In order to clear the extra rush, Indian Railways has so far announced over 500 trains on different routes including for Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The railways has now put on sale 2,20,000 extra seats keeping in mind the extra  passenger load due to Diwali and Chhath.
Indian Railways has also decided to keep in reserve 10 rakes. The reserve rakes will be used if the demand increases. To facilitate fast ticketing, ticket prices will be put on display at the booking counters.
The Northern Railways has said that the sale of platform tickets will be closed starting November 3. The NR has so far attached extra coaches in as many as 31 trains.
Now, Central Railway has announced that it will run 24 special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur / Manduadih, CSMT- Jammu Tawi/Lucknow to clear the extra rush of passengers during Diwali festival season 2018.

1) Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Gorakhpur Weekly Specials (6)
01115 weekly special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 0045 hrs on every Saturday from 03.11.2018 to 17.11.2018 (3 Trips)  and arrive Gorakhpur at 1135 hrs next day.
01116 weekly special will leave Gorakhpur at 1400 hrs on every Sunday from 04.11.2018 to 18.11.2018 (3 Trips) and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 0035 hrs on third day.
Halts: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Chheoki, Varanasi, Mau Jn., Bhatni and Deoria Sadar.
Composition: One First AC cum AC 2 Tier, One AC 3 Tier, 13 Sleeper class 2 General Second Class and 2 luggage cum Guard's brake vans
2) Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Manduadih Weekly Specials (6)
01087 weekly special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 0045 hrs on every Wednesday from 07.11.2018 to 21.11.2018 (3 Trips)   and arrive Manduadih at 0445 hrs next day.
01088 weekly special will leave Manduadih at 0630 hrs on every Thursday from 08.11.2018 to 22.11.2018 (3 Trips)  and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 0820 hrs next day.
Halts: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Allahabad and Gyanpur.
Composition: One First AC cum AC 2 Tier, One AC 3 Tier, 13 Sleeper class 2 General Second Class and 2 luggage cum Guard's brake vans
3)  CSMT Mumbai – Jammu Tawi AC Superfast (One way) weekly specials (3)
Train No. 02171 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 0645 hrs on every Friday from 02.11.2018 to 16.11.2018 (3 trips) and will arrive Jammu Tawi at 2000 hrs next day.
Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Agra Cantonment, Delhi Safdarjung, Ambala Cantonment Jn., Ludhiana Jn., Jalandhar Cantt. and Pathankot Cantt.
Composition: 13 AC-3 Tier
4)  Jammu Tawi - CSMT Mumbai weekly specials (3)
Train No. 01172 Special will leave Jammu Tawi at 07.00 hrs on every Sunday from 4.11.2018 to 18.11.2018 and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 23.00 hrs next day.
Halts: Pathankot Cantt. Jalandhar Cantt., Ludhiana Jn., Ambala Cantonment Jn., Delhi Safdarjung, Agra Cantt., Jhansi, Bhopal, Itarsi, Bhusaval,, Nasik Road,  Igatpuri, Kalyan and Dadar.
Composition: 13 AC-3 Tier
5)  CSMT – Lucknow (One Way) AC Superfast weekly specials (3)
02019 AC Superfast weekly special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 14.20 hrs on every Tue from 06.11.2018 to 20.11.2018 and arrive Lucknow at 13.10 hrs next day.
Halts: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Orai and Kanpur.
Composition: 13 AC-3 Tier
